Church Website Design
Your church deserves a quality website
When it comes to website design for churches, there aren’t too many options. Many congregations can’t afford to pay a web designer many tens of thousands of dollars. At the same time, they don’t want to use the same old WordPress themes that everyone else is using.
They’re left to figure out how to set up website hosting, domain names, themes, configurations, and all sorts of other technical things that often require a specialist. In many congregations I see that their website is usually managed by a member who happens to know a little HTML, or runs their own blog.
This is generally not the best solution as websites are either too big, slow, and clunky; or they’re very out-dated and hard to maintain. At Wittenberg Media, my goal is to help the Lutheran church have beautiful websites that are easy to maintain.
I acheive this with some powerful emerging technologies, and some well established ones.
I Work a little differently
A lot of churches are fully on board with all of this in theory, but it breaks down when it comes to one thing: Price.
Hey, I get it.
That’s why I went ahead and got rid of prices.
I attend a small Lutheran church myself that doesn’t always have a spare $10,000 in the budget to dump on a new website. I decided that every website I build would be done for an approximate price of $0.
I design, build, host, and maintain the websites completely for free. Seriously.
Yeah yeah, what’s the catch?
There isn’t one. You can truly pay nothing. I decided that the best way to help the church was to donate my skills. And the best way to make my skills accessible was to make them available at whatever price you’re comfortable with. So my base price is nothing.
If you like what I do, and your congregation wants to pay me, I will gladly accept a tip. But it is not mandatory or compulsory in any way.
